Fun things you can do with your dog
Is your dog regularly barking and lunging at other dogs on a walk? There could be a number of reasons this occurs including frustration at not being able to access a dog or if they are worried and saying move away

y.
In this blog, I’ll explain other alternatives to walks incase your dog needs a rest day or you are looking for other things for them to do.
Scentwork
This can be a fun activity for dogs. It is low impact and as long as your dog does not guard toys it can be fun! It boosts their problem solving behaviour so gives them a mental workout. If your dog does have issues around toys then there are scents you can purchase. Remember that if you have a brachycephalic dog that sniffing can be very tiring so you don’t want to over do it, or do it on a hot day.
Mantrailling
This is when a dog searches for a person via their scent. The good thing is , is all dogs of different breeds and ages can take part.
Swimming
If your dog enjoys swimming it can be fun activity for them and you! There are lots of options available depending on where you live. Obviously watch out for things like blue algae and avoid!
